Interview in Uep Mallorca!

Mallorcan composer Rubén Gallardo shared in an interview with UEP! Mallorca how he has experienced his recent international success after winning the award for Best Original Score at the New York City International Films InFest Festival. The recognition came thanks to his work on Mirror Stacy, a production in which music plays a key role in shaping the emotional core of the story.

During the interview, Gallardo explains that this award represents an important boost to his career, especially within the international film scene. He also describes part of his creative process, emphasizing that a film score must accompany, move, and reinforce the message of each scene without overshadowing the imagery.

The composer adds that recognitions like this motivate him to continue exploring new musical languages and expanding his presence beyond Spain, while maintaining a strong connection to his Mallorcan roots.
