Marratxí Prepares for a Magical Night with El Somni d'en Walt

On June 29, as part of the Festes de Marratxí 2025, music and emotion will come together in a concert that promises to transport the audience to the most unforgettable worlds of Disney. El Somni d'en Walt, produced by Sarts Produccions and under the executive direction of Sandra Mayol, will be a unique celebration of 100 years of Disney magic, where music will come to life with exceptional cinematic intensity.

The evening will be led by the Municipal Band of Marratxí, under the direction of Silverio Duato, with meticulously crafted arrangements by composer Rubén Gallardo. But what makes this event even more special is Gallardo’s return to the stage after five years, in a night that will mark a turning point in his artistic journey.

"This concert is not just a musical challenge but also a deeply personal one. Returning to the stage after so long, at an event of this magnitude and significance, is truly exciting. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with the audience and with my own essence as an artist," shares Gallardo.

Transforming Disney’s great classics into a band format has required a meticulous process, ensuring that every note is adapted with great care to preserve the cinematic essence of the compositions.

"Bringing a symphony orchestra’s sound into a band setting has been an exciting challenge. Disney’s music has an incredible richness, filled with details that build the magic. We have worked to maintain that emotion, even without the string section, percussion instruments, or ethnic nuances of the original versions," explains the composer.

The concert will feature outstanding soloists, including Deborah Montserrat, Inés Piqueras, and Rubén Gallardo himself. The fusion of live music and vocals will be key in immersing the audience in a rich and multi-dimensional spectacle, designed to make them feel part of each story.

"Working with these artists has been an honor. Each brings something unique— their own magic, their own artistic universe. The chemistry on stage will be tangible, making the audience's experience even more moving," highlights Gallardo.
