Last weekend, Café a 3 Bandas in Palma de Mallorca hosted a very special concert by Sergio Marín, who captivated the audience with an acoustic performance that was as intimate as it was surprising.

For an hour and a half, the audience enjoyed a live performance unlike what many had expected. Far from reducing the intensity of the show, the acoustic format delivered a performance full of rhythm, personality and musical chemistry. The carefully crafted staging and the strong connection between the musicians created a warm, intimate sound rich in nuance, captivating the audience from the very first notes and turning the evening into an unforgettable musical experience.

The setlist featured some of the most representative songs from "Piloto", the artist's previous album, while also giving the audience an exclusive preview of several tracks from his upcoming record, "The Parachutist Who Took Too Long to Jump", scheduled for release later this year. The concert also included songs from "Ocultas Intenciones", allowing the audience to experience different stages of the singer-songwriter's musical journey.

One of the highlights of the evening was the live premiere of "Al Sur" ("To the South"), an instrumental composition that pays tribute to Sergio Marín's Andalusian roots. Performed live for the very first time, the piece featured a powerful musical dialogue between the classical guitar and the flamenco cajón, with both instruments exchanging expressive solos that immediately captured the audience's attention.

The combination of sounds, the emotional depth of the composition and the carefully designed performance made "Al Sur" one of the defining moments of the concert. The audience responded with a long standing ovation, impressed by the originality of the piece and the emotional intensity that offered a glimpse into the musical identity of Sergio Marín's upcoming album.

The audience's enthusiastic response confirmed the success of this unique acoustic format, with Sergio Marín joined on stage by Los Paracaidistas, the band accompanying him in this new musical chapter. Special recognition goes to Rubén, whose creativity and natural talent on percussion amazed everyone in attendance. Using an unconventional percussion setup, he transformed each performance into a solid, dynamic and groove-filled rhythmic foundation, bringing a fresh and distinctive sound rarely heard in an acoustic concert. His performance exceeded expectations and became one of the evening's biggest surprises, earning widespread praise from the audience after the show.

Following this successful concert, Sergio Marín and Los Paracaidistas continue working on an exciting new chapter. In the coming weeks they will return to the recording studio to complete their upcoming projects, including the release of the new album and the preparation of the tour that will accompany it, taking them to various cities across the Iberian Peninsula.

What took place at Café a 3 Bandas was much more than just a concert. It was the presentation of a new way of experiencing live music: intimate, honest, innovative and with a distinctive musical identity. A night that once again proved that when music is performed with genuine emotion and creative courage, it has the power to create a truly unique connection with its audience.
