Originally from Felanitx, Gallardo has followed a deeply personal musical path, shaped by an early interest in instruments and a special sensitivity for sonic storytelling. As he explains, his music is not created merely to accompany images, but to “give soul” to the stories. His working method is based on close collaboration with directors, allowing him to fully understand the emotional world of each project and translate it into melodies and harmonies.

In the interview, he highlights how he approaches his compositions: he often starts from the script and the edit, analyzing each scene to craft musical cues that reinforce dramatic, introspective, or evocative moments. His goal is for the soundtrack not just to accompany the film, but to “breathe with it” and enhance what the characters are experiencing.

Gallardo also reflects on some milestones in his career, including his award at the New York International Films Infest Festival, and offers a preview of his upcoming projects. He reveals that he is currently working on new film scores and musical theatre productions, aiming to continue expanding his international presence while maintaining a strong connection to his Balearic roots.

He also notes that his inspiration comes not only from composers such as Hans Zimmer but also from intimate experiences: for him, composing is a way of connecting with the audience on a deep, emotional level.
