Official Premiere of the New Instrumental Version of the Campos Anthem

Mallorcan composer and producer Rubén Gallardo Acedo has released today the new instrumental version of the Campos Anthem, a symphonic adaptation that expands and complements the reimagining presented in 2023 to mark the 30th anniversary of the passing of Mossèn Bartomeu Ballester, the author of the original work.
The piece, available today on all streaming platforms, represents another step in the musical update project Gallardo began two years ago, when he transformed the traditional anthem into a symphonic work of greater emotional depth and artistic scope. That first version—premiered at the 2023 Festival Opening Ceremony—was enthusiastically received by the public and marked a milestone in the anthem’s presence within the cultural life of the town.
An instrumental version designed for today
The newly released adaptation offers a more ceremonial and versatile interpretation of the anthem, intended for institutional events, cultural occasions, and official uses. The absence of vocals allows the orchestra to breathe more freely, highlighting the original melody and reinforcing its solemn character.
Gallardo approached this version with respect for Ballester’s original work, preserving its historical identity while incorporating a more contemporary, balanced, and technically refined sound treatment.
